Bios:
I grew up in Hawthorne hills (near ViewRidge) until I was 18. I went to Roosevelt High. I had about 3.5 years of trade schools and 5 years of college. I finished a BA in multicultural education at Antioch in Seattle when I was 50 in 1993, and then I quit my job as oiler for the WA ferries. I volunteered in the schools for many months until I was hired by Seattle Public schools in 1996. At this time I was trying to be hired as an engineer with the ferries or with the large container companies such as APL. My personality was changing so that social skills were more important than engineering and so I pursued the employment as a parapro with SPS.
I studied Native drumming and songs for about 15 years and was adopted by a friend into his Tlingit tribe. I sang many songs and told many stories in public school settings. My son was born in 1981 and a daughter in 1983. I remarried in 2001. I became a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda in 2005 and about the same time started "fitting in" at Ingraham. Maybe its because I am able to settle down and concentrate on my job there.
