Bios:

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, David Edelman graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He also earned a Master in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts and a Master in Teaching from Seattle University. Early in his career, he taught writing classes at the University of Massachusetts, Pierce College, and Central Washington University. Mr. Edelman has also worked in construction and as a technical writer. He and his wife have lived on a small island in the San Juans, in Italy, and in Germany. A published author, former editor of a literary magazine, and citizen lobbyist, Mr. Edelman brings his passion for reading to his students and loves to find innovative ways of discussing and writing about books. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking with his wife, visiting with family and friends, and, of course, reading.
